i opted for the 70-200 f4 IS instead of the 2.8 non IS just because i do more landscapes and the IS benefits me much more than the 2.8. also hate lugging around such heavy equipmant. enjoy that lens though :p
would you mind taking a picture at 200mm f2.8 so i can see how soft it is.

It's heavier and bulkier (then again everyone knows that :) )

Focus is a tad quieter, especially when the motor stops. The Sigma just has a louder click.

Reverse zoom ring :rolleyes: :lol:

Cooler color cast

IQ wise ... pretty close maybe a tiny bit better at 200mm. But with tiny USM say 200/.3/2 ... I couldn't tell a difference.

I already packed up the Sigma to send out so no chance of doing a comparison side by side.

I love the Sigma but I think this one will fill in just fine. :p

I was thinking of the IS too but this one was almost 1/2 off of IS price so I couldn't pass it up :).
