Shift double clicking on a slider does not work for me in Lightroom.

ACR 3.6 is still available as a download. Can one revert to ACR 3.6 without hosing up anything else ? I'll probably get used to the new version, but just in case I don't......

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

As long as you don't use Lightroom or upgrade to CS3, you're all set! :D

Rick,

In Lightroom 1.0, double-click the slide only. No need to press shift, alt or any other key.

P.S.: I just finished installing Lightroom 1.0 and my first impression: a wonderful tool!

Double-clicking the slider only resets that adjustment back to its original value. I'm trying to set the adjustment to its Auto setting individually using the method described in the read me, which is to shift double-click the slider. This is what isn't working.

If by safe you mean when the Auto adjustments in ACR 3.7 work like they did in 3.6, you may be waiting a long time because Adobe doesn't appear to have any intention of changing them back. One never knows though.... ;)

This might be a stupid question... but why the worry? If you don't like the changes, just copy the old version back in. ???

The problem is that if you want to use the new settings in LR and see them reflected in CS2 then you have no choice but to upgrade to ACR 3.7 and lose the individual Auto settings. And, it will be the same in CS3 with ACR 4.0.

I reverted back to 3.6 with no problems. It is merely copying and pasting the .8bi file into the proper location. However, as has been mentioned with Lightroom you will end up needing 3.7 (or whatever newer version may come).

Um, yea... of course... Lightroom installs 3.7 automatically and I don't see that 4.0 is of concern here... so again, why the concern? Either you have to have it or you don't. Regardless, you can still revert unless you are already using LR anyway.

No concern on my part as I'll be using 3.7 until CS3 comes out. It was just a response to the folks that want to know what they're missing out on by not upgrading to 3.7.
