A70 Viewfinder Doesn't Show Full Frame

On my A70, I just noticed that the viewfinder cuts off a lot of what actually shows up in the picture. It doesn't even come close to showing how much the camera is actually going to shoot.

The LCD screen, however, seemed to frame the picture about exactly how it actually comes out. This is an initial observation and I will be studying it further, but it seems like a huge discrepancy.

Has anybody else noticed this? Do you just not use the viewfinder? How do you deal with it, or how did you when you had an A70? I realize a lot of people with A70s may have traded up to something else by now.

I think most compacts with optical viewfinders are pretty much the same. Some show as little as 80%. I don't like it, but usally, I can crop it to be what I want it to be without any serious amount of quality loss.

This is not a problem with my S2, as it has an electronic viewfinder, which shows 100%. But I often use an older Olympus camera that has the same problem.
