Just went over to Helix in Chicago too look at backpacks for my trip back to Italy this April. I was mainly looking at the Lowepro backpacks but noticed the Tenba Shootout Mini backpack. It seemed really solid, and not too large. Does anyone have any experience with this bag or even its larger versions?

I wasn't smart enough to check the depth of the bag to see if it would fit my 20D with the grip attached. The tenba site says its 5 inches deep, which seems a bit too small but I know in use sometimes things are so accurate. Anyone know?

I recently baught the mid-size Tenba backpack and LOVE IT! Very well made bag. Alot of thought went into the design I feel. Allthough it is a bit on the big side it is the first bag I got that I really loved! Lots of attachment points, clips, pockets ect. I often lug both mine and my wifes gear so the size is nice for me. Even fully loaded it feels nice on my back.

I just ordered the mini version of the bag (i would hardly call it mini though) from B&H. I should be getting it next week so I can try it out. My only concern is still the inside depth and fitting my 20D inside. When I tried it on in the store it felt really good, but it was empty. Interested to see how well those "portal" pockets work on the sides.
