Hi all,

A few people have asked about my avatar and what the original picture was like. The pic below is the original, full frame image (with a slight tweak for levels and vibrance in Rawshooter and some Neat Image and USM in PS once it was resized) whence the avatar came. Apologies if this seems a little self indulgent, it really isn't meant to be.

It was taken last September in the New Forest, England, whilst on a Heather Angel workshop organised by Wild Arena (a fab day and well worth it, I learnt loads!).

BTW, I think "whence" is a great word and isn't used nearly enough these days! Your task for today (or tomorrow) is to use the word "whence" at least once in casual conversation ;-)a

Cheers,
Ben

Thanks! Yeah, I know what you mean, would have liked to have seen all the antlers too, but it was really just a snap! It was a target rich environment as the deer had just been fed and they were milling around all over the place.

Cheers,
Ben
