I've read many people from this forum recommend newegg.com. So this morning I found this:

http://www.newegg.com ….asp?Item=N82E16820220100 (external link)

What's the catch, why is it so cheap? $13.50 with $5 shipping. Sounds pretty good for a 2 Gig card. Has anyone ordered one of these, or is it better to stay with a sound name card?

Thanks!

Are these cheaper SD cards just as "trustworthy and reliable" as say the Sandisk Ultra II SD cards? I saw Best Buy has the 2 Gig Sandisk Ultra II for $39. If the "cheaper" 2 Gig cards from newegg are just as reliable I'll go with them, I looked at the one from the post above for ~$12 and the reviews were good.

Thanks!

Memory is dirt cheap these days. In Canada, we had many many deals before christmas for almost free memory cards with mail in rebates etc. In one deal, with a price match and a mail in rebate, people were able to make a couple of bucks on them.

Canon Rebel xt with kit len, Sigma 55-200mm F4-5.6 DC, Canon S2IS, & not enough time to use them all.

So the "cheaper" SD cards from newegg.com are just as reliable as the SanDisk SD cards? I'd hate to get a bunch of shots onto the card and have it go out on my.
I suppose though, on the inside of these cards, being it a cheaper card or a SanDisk card, they're pretty much the same?
