Silver Metallic Paint Question

My bike is a really nice silver metallic (IMO) and every picture I take of it the paint turns blue in the shadows. Also I cant seem to get the paint to "POP" like it does in sunlight in a picture. Heres a couple examples. I have thought about a CPL but I only have one for my kit lens and my new 28-135 IS USM seems to be stuck on my camera.

The reverse shot would show me just barely on the dirt. I try to stay away from even poor pavement the dirt road was just for the shot; which didnt turn out.
