Deirdre's Song: Play
A step back to some of the classic rock I was brought up on. Visions of Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues comes to mind when listening to this crowd pumping, dynamic and moving track. The vocals have a pure rock sound and can really be appreciated because your hear it straight--no overdubs, no special recording effects--the raw live sound is great. This song is an excellent combination of distorted guitars, driving bass lines, and a rock beat. This could easily be the theme song to a first-rate hollywood production because of it's appeal. It has a theatrical feel to the style and would benefit greatly with some refinement to the audio production and stereo effects. Listening to this on headphones gives a good feel of a live production but the potential this track has if produced in a professional studio would be astoundiung. This is no garage band here, 79Cortina has a polished, professional sound that attracts and keeps the attention. A fine piece!
