Last weekend I was covering my last FIS alpine skiing World cup for this winter. Now only few more World cups in XC skiing and ski jumping and this years winter will be over for me, so I will finally have time for my own skiing  I just hope there will still be at least some snow left.
And here are few shoots from last 2 days.

Bode Miller of USA in Saturdays GS

Kurt Pittschieler of Italy in GS.

Third placed Massimiliano Blardone of Italy in second run of GS

Beni Raich of Austria on his way to another victory

Current World champion in slalom Mario Matt of Austria in first run of Sunday's slalom

... and in second run just 2 gates before finish line and 2nd consecutive victory in World cup.

I hope you will like these photos, and sorry for watermarks... they are straight from our online archive.

Have fun, Primoz

I really dig the first one with 2 gates and of course the first picture is classic!

You didn't by chance shoot the last europa cup race in slovenia I believe thats the one where a chick from Anchorage won a race (go team Alaska!)

The first shot of Mario close on the gate is great. I noticed the back light, yet you still had a great exposure on his face, eyes! Do you recall any of the exposure settings?
As always, supurb captures! I wish I could work for you!

Sun wasn't really straight from back but a bit from back left side, so it wasn't all that bad. Exif of that photo says 400mm, 1/4000 at f3.5 and iso250. And if I remember right, camera was showing it's way overexposed :) So this is pretty much perfect sample why I don't trust cameras, and I work on manual :)

Not really. At least not by the book :) Nowadays when there's no film anymore, things are really easy. I just take test shoot, where I can see face, and if face is lit right, that's right exposure :)
