Hi all,
Here's another nyc shot. I was hoping to catch the sunset but it didn't happen. I will try again soon. This was shot at: iso 100, F11, 25sec shutter.
Shot in RAW and with custom WB.
I am very new to every aspect of this great hobby. Any c&c will be greatly appreciated.

That's a great shot - what a City scape. Perhaps if you caught the twilight, you would get some definition between the buildings and the skyline. What lens did you use?

I like the photo, one thing you could have done is straighten the horizon, and sharpen it in Photoshop. Maybe sharpness is not what you were going for, but it does look better a bit sharpened.

You could have gotten away with a more open aperture to save you exposure time if you wanted. At this focal length and this distance, you should have no problem keeping the whole thing in focus. Nice capture.

Like you said, catching the sky at a bit more bold time would make this shot absolutely phenomenal.

I'll give it a shot..I'm definitely going to try to shoot it again.

I also have this shot taken on that same night. Has some pp done to it.

I like the second shot better as to definition of the city. I like the first one better as to the portion of the city that you captured. Having the "New Yorker" sign in the shot - and readable - made this one for me. Like others have said try shooting a little earlier. Very nice shots though.

The second shot is by far the better image. Better color and contrast as well as PP treatment.

If you are, in fact, very new to photography, you are well on your way to becoming a great artist! Keep it up!
