Spent Friday and Saturday over in Cumbria for the Malcolm Wilson rally, the rally is based at the M Sport complex which is the HQ for the Ford World Rally Team and is a sight in itself but they are a bit touchy about photographs so here are some from the stages themselves.

Winner of the rally for the 3rd time in succesion, Paul Bird & Andy Richardson

Nice shots Ian the first two look like the stage was quite muddy, what stages were these from?

I'm sure one day we'll bump into each other

Lighting looks fairly harsh on #1 in particular. Flash is nicely balanced on the blue mk II, but it is the final shot of Birdy that is the pick of this bunch for me.

Cheers,

Simon.

Thanks Darren, it was quite muddy early on, they were all taken in Greystoke at j14 in the morning which became j16 in the afternoon. You can see the junctions on this aerial photo

It can come in quite handy using the aerial photography to see what a junction looks like if you haven't been before;)

Cheers
Ian

Thanks Simon, to be honest the light was terrible all day, with the patchy cloud and wind it made it resemble a disco:rolleyes:

Cheers

Excellent, Ian. I particularly like the perspective on the blue Mark II shot!

Was going to come across but was struck down with flue bug :(

Looks like the going was tough for the cars, slippy then very rocky.

As always great shots.

Looking forward to getting out and about again this year and meeting up with you guys again
