I check ebay every now and than as well. They are alive and for sale.

There is someone on ebay, Korea I think that is always selling one or two. They want money wired to there bank upfront. I've never bought anything off ebay but that just sounds dodgy to me. However I'm so tempted to give it a try!

Chamcamera, the eBay seller, is highly regarded and sells a lot of 200 f1.8Ls. I have not bought from him, so don't use me as a reference, but I think if you check around you may hear good things.

Thanks for the info, if anyone knows of sombody who purchased from Chamcamera off ebay please let me know. It is a lot of money to put down on something without double, triple, and qudruple checking!
