I'm looking to purchase the Canon ipf5000 mostly for fine art printing. From what I've read on the reviews it is better then the Epson 4800 on saving ink, no reported clogging, and wider color range. It does have a few quirks but from what I'm seeing those will possibly be fixed by the firmware updates or manageable. My questions..

1) What archival/fine art type papers have you found that are best suited for this printer?
2) What did you wish you purchased after you installed the printer?
3) Any problems or tips?
4) Any regrets?

Currently my local photoshop used the Ilford smooth pearl. I have been extremely happy with the results. I'm looking into one of these printers myself

I've got one... but I don't call what I do fine art...

I've been using Canon's Satin papers, Ilford Smooth Pearl, and Kodak's Professional Inkjet Photo Paper (Lustre E).

It's got it's quirks but it produces great images. I highly recommend it.
