If we want people to just use the "Search" feature, this forum should be reduced to just consist of a page of FAQs so as not to bother anyone.

Instead, it is a discussion forum where people want to discuss photography. I say "Ask away!"

Yeahbut...if everyone clutters up with the same old questions over and over, and our dear POTN servers fill up as a result and the guy who runs POTN can no longer afford to pay for server space, and you now have to start to pay a fee to use POTN...will you still feel the same way?

It reminds me of my daughter who feels it is her manifest destiny to drive somewhere separately rather than riding with us, wasting more gas, and depleting our non-renewable petroleum resources, yet at the same time harping about the waste of paper (which comes from a renewable resource!)

You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! Keep POTN alive and well with member support https://photography-on-the.net/forum/donate.php

"manifest destiny"

Now there is a very nice collection of two words that does not get tossed around much anymore. In fact, even just "manifest" is sort of on the rocks as a word.

Enjoy! Lon

Point taken Wilt. I just hate to see a good question answered with the command to do a search. I would, however, be more than happy to pay a fee to use the site as I have learned alot...by asking questions. I understand your point of view. (And I soon will understand your example as my son will drive in a few years)
