Delta Flip Flash Bracket Question

I just got one and the supplied screw is way too long for the tripod mount on the camera... how did you guys install the bracket??

I just got this same bracket yesterday, and if I understand your question, I think I noticed the same thing when I put my camera on. The screw is too long, even when it's tight, there is still play in the camera.

This is the bracket I got from B&H:

To fix my situation last night, I just put a standard "nut" (or you can use some spacers or washers) on the long supplied screw "before" I put in through the bottom of the bracket. The nut was slighly larger then the screw, but it did NOT have to "thread" into the nut, so the size of the nut is Not important as long as it's bigger then the screw, it just took up some of the screw's length like a spacer. Then less of the supplied screw actually stuck out of the bracket, so less went into the camera's tri-pod mount and when tightened, it was VERY SECURE !!

I dunno about the Delta.
I had a similar issue with the Stroboframe CameraFlip, and I just put a washer under the screw head.

There is a thread (or maybe just a post) specifically explaining some mods to the Delta Bracket to fix this and something else. I will keep looking for it.
