I am looking for other members of this forum who live in Philadelphia and would like to get together. I am a newbie and would like to meet up with other people who are willing to show me some tricks of the trade or even if you just want to get together for a beer or something. I have tried to search for members located in Philadelphia and came seem to find them. Let me know if any one is interested.

Hope to hear from you all soon

I was going to start a thread but hey, we'll use this. I'm going to get my photographers together from the newspaper I work at to meet with us too. Lets hear it, who's interested?? We're gonna need date's too, figure soon?

I live about 20 minutes from Philadelphia. However, when the weather is warmer out, I'm always in the city with my gf, especially for attending Phillies games. I'd love to see something set-up where us Philly photog's can meet one another, grab a bite to eat, and photograph different parts of the city.

How far in advance would be good for everybody? 2 weeks 30 days etc. Any suggestions on what we could do? meet for a walk about to take some shots? I live in the art museum and have some great buildings and locations that I think would be good for some shots. (rocky statue, art museum, franklin institute, loads of statues and fountains) Any suggestions let me know I can set up one of those evite things

Don't think I will be able to get out any time soon (just had our second kid) but I live in South Jersey and would love to at least know what and when things are going down. I would love to get some pics in the city...especially at night.

As long as I have a week or two notice, then I would be fine. Would we potentially do this on a weekend? Or weeknight? Personally I don't have a perference. As long as it's warm out, I'm game for getting together (it seems as though I like to hibernate when it's cold).

South Philly is always a great spot to photograph the city skyline, as well as the Ben Franklin Bridge as well. There is also South Street as well for those interested. I like the Art Musuem idea as well.

I live in Philly......Maybe we could meet at Penn's Landing, good parking there, then walk up to Rittenhouse Square and then back....that would make for a real good day and many good images.......at any rate...count me in....

hope nobody minds but I would be using an Epson R-D1s or an M8.........

Cheers, Don

^ Ah, you suck! Maybe you could get me discount tix if you get the job, haha, jk.

So April 13th and/or 14th is the dates suggested. If it were late afternoon or early evening meet, then I'm game (depends on work).

Anyone else potentially good for either of these two dates?

I'm from Delaware as well, Philly isn't too far for me but my schedule can be a bit crazy. If someone organizes something I'll try to make it, weather is getting pretty nice now.

I'm taking pictures of everything, so go ahead and take this place away from me.
