Hi there.

I just read this post and like everyone else, my heart goes out to you and your family. We had our first baby, Emma, last year. I was 32, like you, and I know how it feels to worry about a healthy baby so I can only imagine what you and your family must have been and still are going through. It was a good feeling to scroll down the page to see that Ryan's condition is improving. My wife and I will pray for Ryan and you and your family.

Please keep us and the other POTN members posted on how things are going.

Take Care,
Tom and Heather

More good news from the baby front. Ryan has been making remarkable improvements over the past couple of days. The doctor will be removing his breathing tube today around 12:30. This is a HUGE step in the right direction. They are talking about moving him to the step-down unit on Tuesday. Thanks again for your comments, concerns and prayers.

That's encouraging news! You've reminded us all how fragile and precious life is, and I too will say a prayer for Ryan.

Music to our ears and answer to our prayers!!! The extubation went very well. His oxygen saturation actually increased after they took out his breathing tube. We've been able to hear him "cry" for the first time since Tuesday. He's a bit hoarse because of being intubated so long, but it's still music to our ears.

Sorry to hear about your little guy's bumpy start. All will turn out fine though, I'm sure! God Bless.

Hi,

My wife and I have walked in your shoes. Our son Jimmy had serious heart issues at birth and required open heart surgery. He is now 32 years old and healthy as can be. Put your faith in the Almighty and the medical professionals who will see you throught this. We will hold your youngster in in our thoughts and prayers.
