Ryan has been making remarkable improvements over the past couple of days. The doctor will be removing his breathing tube today around 12:30. This is a HUGE step in the right direction. They are talking about moving him to the step-down unit on Tuesday. Thanks again for your comments, concerns and prayers. Kevin

His oxygen saturation actually increased after they took out his breathing tube. We've been able to hear him "cry" for the first time since Tuesday. He's a bit hoarse because of being intubated so long, but it's still music to our ears.
