Alien Bees & Gels ???

Where can we mount gels or is it possible.. I didn't see a gel holder they sold. I have all these gels I want to put to use when my AB's come in.

You have two choices. You can either use the clips that come with each and every AB light and just clip them onto the reflector, or you can buy the Lite Mod Mainframe, along with gel holders, and slide the gels in there. I prefer and use the latter.

There is also another choice available. I am currently using the Impact Universal Filter Holder. The nice thing about it is that it doesn't matter which strobes you have or what size reflector. I prefer this to both the Lite Mod frame and attaching the gels to the AB reflector using the AB clips.

I find it to be convenient with no worries about melting or disfiguring the gels from the heat or heat buildup by having the gel so close to the modeling light and flash tube.
