Make a Channel Mixer adjustment layer. Select the Green output channel and set it for Green-80% and Red-20%. Now select the Blue output channel and set it for Blue-90% and Red-10%. You can tweak the values to get the exact color you want.

Thanks, those settings helped a lot.
Coming from Nikon D70s, I could never get the skin tone I wanted with my Canon 30D.

Why the HELL should we have to go to photoshop to adust the colour rendering. You've paid enough for a good camera. I use a 30D and had lots of trouble trying to get the exposure right. Could anyone please let me know, in plain English, how to set my camera up for studio work. I have used stuio lights with my film camera with noe probles.
Many thanks.

Just seen this thread. If you are shooting jpeg with colour space set to adobe 1998 the 5D does tend to give red skin tones. Shoot RAW, or if you do have to shoot jpeg then set the colour space to sRGB.

I set CWB at the begining of a studio shoot, and also check the balance again against a neutral reference when editing in PS and I dont get any problems.
I shoot in raw and use sRGB

Tearing my hair out with my 5d until I seen this thread.. I dont use photoshop (only elements 5) and am not great on channel mixers, is setting to faithful the safest bet?

Thanks in advance

setting to faithful and checking your WB is the best thing. There are several ways to change color balance.....but I think maybe having your color profile set to faithful and doing WB shift if you're really anal.

For me, the color shift on the 5D isn't bad. True, it's all subjective about what is "faithful" color....so in that vein, it's great that we have so many controls to change color temp in digital cameras.
