Okay, this dialog box just keeps popping out of nowhere. It won't allow me to "switch" or "retry". And when I finally get it to disappear (usually by just randomly clicking on the start menu), it will just reappear moments later and I can't get any work done in LR. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Wow. That's big. Hold on I'll resize it. In the meantime, this is the dialogue box...

I believe this is a very generic windows type message which could come from a number of things ... got a backup of your db? You could try running off that for now and see if it still appears ... would be interesting to see if anyone else gets. From my limited tech knowledge and research this error is a little generic so if anyone else using lightroom gets it would be interesting to know ... my suggestion would be contact Adobe (sorry for speaking the obvious)

This happens whether I have other apps open or not. I tried it with PS2 open and closed. I don't know what's up. This dialogue box normally accompanies it...

Never had that message or problem, but in general I have a problem navigating in lightroom. Because of that, I get impatient and pull up Bridge to "get on with it". I guess I need to study the program more!

By the way, make a note to myself. Don't cross Lord_Malone! LOL

yeah i've always turned indexing off completely, and would recommend it if you know where your stuff is.
