I'm excited. Stopped by the local photography store today to purchase a new bag. I've been wanting to get a 17-55mm, and mentioned it to my salesperson Bill. Bill said they have not been selling well and that he might have to return a few to Canon.

He then undercut what Calumet was selling them for by $50. I couldn't resist and put it on layaway. (Remember layaway?).

I may have a EF 17-40mm for sale soon. I'll let you know.

It's on layaway till I pay it off. LOL! Actually they allow you to go 4-6 months, with only 10% down. I've got some other things to take care of first, but I'm soooo wanting to get this.

Wow, layaway. Didn't think any place still did that. I know Wal-Mart fought it but eventually discontinued it.

Good luck finishing it off - You're going to enjoy that lens.
