It was a very dull day unfortunately, not unusual for Knockhill Racing Circuit though.

These were the best of a bad bunch, but still getting the hang of the camera after only owning for a few weeks..

Tools: 1 Eye, 1 Finger, 350dlsr, Tamron 55-200mm, and thats about it.

I also got my 350D about two weeks ago. After using a 300D for several years, the 350D is an improvement. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did taking photos at my local track here. You some nice motion blur on some of these you have here. Just have fun with the new camera as I'm going to do.

nice pictures and nice cars. Looks like the people there had a lot of fun. Did the Evo in pic #1 spin out? I think that pic would look a better with a little wheel blur if it was moving.

Thanks, I did enjoy it, thanks! The weather was wild though and I could not feel my fingers as it was so cold, bring on the summer :D

thanks for your comments, the evo did spin out (maybe he should have bought a subaru, I would say that though :D). I was a bit late on catching him spin unfortuately, next time maybe!

#5 works best for me, although I would have liked to have seen a bit of space above the trailing car (the roof is chopped off on the top of the frame). Still a great pic though.

Enjoy the 350D, and keep on shooting this stuff. There are some very good shots in there - I would no way have thought it was your first time! :)

Thanks for your comments Scott, I see what you mean about #5, I'll remember for next time ;) I did not crop any of these, just resized for the web..

I am really enjoying the 350D (coming from a sony cybershot p&s), but still have lots to learn!

Here's a few more from yesterday..

nice variety of cars at that event. i like all your shots. #7 #9 #14 capture great dynamics of the car on G-Loads. #3 & #10 correcting slight oversteer... nice! bah i hate having to process out license plate numbers, i wish it was mandatory at club events for participants to take them out. haha sorry just ranting. but hey im glad your enjoying your camera, your camera likes you too.. photos prove it

thanks for your comments ;) Tech107, It's annoying that lots of people don't take out number plates. I see many "professional" photographers posting photos from these events on their site and not removing the plates. If I was on track I wouldn't like my number plate to be published all around the interweb..
