I haven't done any candid photography, and i think I might go shoot a few shots, I know a few think people shouldn't do it but lets not turn this thread into a argument.

Straigt shot, no PS work. Very lucky shot as this was mid day on the Olympic Peninsula. I was shooting the ocean waves and turned check what my wife and son were doing. So I took the shot and ....

I'm a big fan of candids. This is my grandfather, I shot this last year at a family BBQ with 70-200 IS. Great lens for candid work but very obvious.:oops: :D . I find the candid shots I've got of relatives are some of the best.

i have a few candid shots most taken while out birding, even when you think your well away from people they still turn up lol, this was taken quite a way from were i would have exspected anyone to turn up they just came over a bank so i took the shot- OH AND they scared the house Martins i was after away

Here are two of my favorites:

a. The joy of my son at his graduation from Law School.
B. The joy of my niece at her wedding.

Both of these are "seize the moment" shots...which is what cadid photography is all about. BTW both shots made with my 17-55 EF-S IS lens.

My daughter when she was having one of her many daydream moments. took it on my p&s a few years ago. Flash set to fill and slaved vivitar 285 bounced off ceiling.
