Why can't I embed an image from SmugMug?
Every time I've tried in more than a week now, I've got back the message "URL doesn't contain an image."

Here's what I tried to embed on this thread today:
https://photos.smugmug.com …da2ebb/X2/DSC02747-X2.jpg (external link)

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Go to the photo on our site while you are logged into your site. Click the share icon and then choose the BBCODE tab. Choose a size and copy the code and paste into your post.
Note: if you are not logged into your site you will not see the BBCODE tab under the share option.

Thanks, but fate seems to be against me. I did that, and got back the same error message.

Have you tried with images where the path does not include specifically Portugese characters?

Thanks, that worked!
I created a gallery "Brazil" in my SmugMug's "Brazil" folder, copied the photo into that, and Hurrah! it loaded. I had been wondering why I had been able to post some other images from SmugMug, but not this.
To avoid confusion from having the same picture appear in two places in SmugMug, I made the new folder accessible by link only.
I don't know what will happen if someone from the forum accesses it. Will he or she be able to see it, and everything else I'll put in there? I'm just a beginner at this and don't understand much of how it works.
But I'm back in the running, so thanks again! :-)

I can see the image 'Poor people of Brazil - 3', so that seems to be allright.

Poor people of Brazil - 4
I wonder what this type of construction is called, and where it came from. Originally from the Americas, or imported?

The wall construction appears to be what we'd call 'wattle and daub' (wattles referring to the sticks, daub referring to the mud), which was used in the early days of the British colonies in what is now Australia. I understand the British brought this construction method, and its name, with them. Wattle eventually became the common name for many of the species of Acacia that grow in Australia.
