Tiny pic! :)
You can make it up to 800 pixels on the longest end, I think...

Anyway, from what I can see, I'd say a tighter crop is definitely in order for this. For a senior portrait, you generally want to keep the primary focus on the person (or so I'd think)- here, it's almost like you're trying to fit the whole scene into the shot to make sure you don't miss anything. I always did the same thing until when I was shooting for the school paper in college and one of the photo editors was going over some of my shots with me to give feedback. He brought this to my attention and showed me some crops of my images to illustrate how zooming into the subject and not being afraid to get too close can make for some much more interesting shots.

For starters, I'd try cropping from just to the right of his feet back to around the windshield or so of the car. I know you want to make sure the car is in there to make the shot more personal for him, but so long as you see the car some, I think it'd work just fine. I think setting the marquee tool to keep a 4x6 ratio and sizing it up to crop further in would work nicely.

The file is 225 pixels wide, 150 pixels tall. What image editing software are you using?

You need set the size to something equal to or less than 800 wide by 800 tall.

With the image being attached, it has to be less than 100k regardless of dimensions. So to make it bigger he might also have to lower the jpg quality a bit.

I agree with elbirth. The focus of the picture needs to be the person, not the car. The cropping he suggested is along the lines of what I would be thinking.

The next time, you may want to consider a shot head on with the car. You can make the person the focus but get enough of the car to make it known as part of the shot without taking away from the person.

I tried to make it 800 pixels but it would not down load. The final pic is croped some but the senior wanted shots with the whole car. In this area having pic with car an showing tho whole Is normal. Too bad the car is not his. It's his step grandfathers car.
