Some pictures from the Moto GP in Qatar this weekend.
All the photos were taken from the grandstand on the main straight, the shooting options in Qatar are very limited unless you have a media pass.

Please tell me what you think.

The shots are beautiful. These are the quality pictures I want to take. I am new to photography and I bought a nice 20D. The equipment you listed at the end of your last photo, are is that what you used to get these shots? What lens, what speed? I want to learn and will, but might need a little help from good photographers like you.
Thanks

Qatar looks like an evil place to shoot even if you did have media access, but these shots are really nice.

It is flat, featureless and you are miles from the track, in short it is a typical track built for F1 cars.

That said, I am planning to go there in the next couple of years :-)

Thanks for the comments. All shots taken with 300mm f2.8 and 1D
The bikes are doing over 250kmh at this point on the main straight making it pretty hard to get a good shot.
The race was amazing, seeing the Ducati power past the Yamaha on the straight was unreal.

Lol, why does that sound so much like Bahrain, which is but a stone's throw away (figuratively ie) from Qatar
