Bought my filters from them as well and received it in a timely matter. Also got a free lens pen when they had that offer going.

I recenlty bought 4 filters from them. Seems good.
I have 2 co-workers who also order from them with positive results.

I'm not sure if I would HIGHLY recommened them being that they are in HK, however they seem to be honest.

I was hesitant last year when I came across their site but decided to give it a shot as the filters I were ordering were $75 cheaper than B&H... I ordered several items, received them all in 2 weeks, new and in great shape. I ordered from them again in January, again, no problems.

I recently bought 2 filters and 2 rocket blowers from them on eBay ('besteastern'), and everything arrived quickly and in great shape. I'm now looking to buy a CP from them as well!

I think OP had lots of opinions on Maxsaver already, btw I just ordered 3 Hoya Pro1 UV and 1 Hoya Pro1 CPL from them. Great service all the way from Hong Kong where technology and business are awesome there.

... and yet you felt strongly enough about them to add your 2 cents anyway. Just like me. :p

I've never done business with them and I 'm not sure I would. For whatever it's worth, I looked them up on http://www.resellerratings.com (external link) and they have a rating of 5 out of 10 for the last 6 months as well as their lifetime rating. If you compare this to some of the larger, more popular merchants like B&H, Adorama, Canoga, Amazon, etc. there is a drastic difference, with the ones I just mentioned showing ratings of 8 and above, some extremely high. These ratings are taking into account things like customer service, reliability, return/exchange policy and packing/shipping.

I tend to stay away from any merchant that does not have 8 or better.

I've gotten two batches of Hoya filters from him and have been very pleased both times.
I looked at those ratings. They are from just two people. One had nothing but good things to say except for the shipping was high to make the price look low. Maybe. It is also not cheap to ship things internationally. Just look at the total cost.

The second negative came from someone who told Maxsaver to cancel his order if he couldn't guarantee that it was new with a USA warranty. His order was cancelled and $$$ refunded. Hello!! It's coming from Hong Kong, of course there is no USA warranty!
