Im running a small desk though and have two very large screens, 24 and 20 widescreens (best thing since sliced bread). I find i have to have my tablet mapped specifically to my 24 inch screen otherwise it becomes to hard to use. this makes changing tools a bit of a drag as i have them all situated on the 20 inch screen. so it goes. But i think i read somewhere that you can have two tablets mapped to two screens, if this is true, i would buy a 4x6 just for the small screen. 5D | 30D | 70-200 2.8 IS | 24-70 | 17-40 | 100 macro | 580ex | 2x AB800

I don't know why I didn't realize this sooner, but since I'm using a wireless keyboard and mouse, I can always move the keyboard up to the desktop where I planned to place the tablet, and put the tablet where the keyboard and mouse are currently sitting. Plenty of space. Problem solved. I guess I'm a little slow on the uptake. ~Spaceships Don't Come Equipped With Rear View Mirrors~

Yeah, I placed the keyboard and mouse on the actual desktop last night to try it out. It felt a bit awkward at first since I'm used to it sitting where it currently is, but I can still access all the keys and control the mouse with relative ease. I should be able to utilize the keyboard and tablet effortlessly with this modified set-up. And I can always put the keyboard on my lap as well. ~Spaceships Don't Come Equipped With Rear View Mirrors~

Question is which one? I'm using dual 19" CRT monitors at the moment, and I'm wondering if the 4x6 tablet is sufficient for a two monitor set-up. Or does it really matter? I also have limited desktop space, hence the attraction to the smallest (and least expensive) of the Intuos3 family. I use an older Grafire 4X6 with a dual monitor setup. My setup has a large CRT monitor for the actual image and a smaller LCD monitor for all my palettes. Because of the small size of the tablet, I mapped the pen to just the CRT monitor and mapped the mouse to both monitors. I find I get better control that way. The WACOM drivers allow you set up different pen and mouse behaviors for different software applications. John
