The two clips that look like ears on top of the unit. Squeeze them together. Same method for installing/removing the reflector, speedring, etc.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Just in case you didnt' know, don't throw those caps away. You're supposed to use them for strorage.

More importantly, they are used if you need to transport your lights or plan on having a portable setup. They are used to protect both the modeling light and the flash tube.

Thanks a lot guys. I got those cases for each light too, and thought they'd be alot beeferier/sturdier so those black caps are a must.

Hi Stackinchips,

Please let us know how you like the beauty dish and post pictures if you can. I would love to see a sample.

Will do, I got the beauty dish instead of the softbox(along with 2 umbrellas)... (will get softboxes in the future... waiting for the foldable ones to come out due to space).

Im no studio master on lighting and setup so excuse for the bad pic.. but I used the beauty dish here (to the left of me, & then a horrible job on a 20 degree grid to my right shotting into the wall). Mind you my first day with monolights. good skin tone.

Those soft cases do a pretty good job of protecting the AB strobes, but if turning over to baggage handlers, expect dings in the 7" reflector. So far all two have been minor enough that I could manually bend back into shape. They work great for me carrying around though. That black cap is a must during transportation though if you want the bulbs to survive.
