Second shot from my training. We did a little shotgun work and this is my second favorite shot from the day. Settings were 1/400 at F6.3. ISO=400. Taken with XTi and 70-200F4L.

Were you looking for something more like this or did you have something else in mind more centered on the ejected shell. I would not be offended if you show me what your looking to do. Image editing is okay. I've never been a fan of cutting off the top of people's heads. But I might like this a little better. My only issue is that it seems to have lost some clarity in the crop. My initial picture was too far out for this much crop. Canon 60D

Thanks for answering the question about the hand - at first it looked like some kid ' I wanna go now, it's my turn!' Well, we do that too! It's more fun shooting than it is watching!! Oh, and no matter how old or young we are, all the people I work with are kids. Who wouldn't act like a kid? We're getting paid to do this Canon 60D

Mar 13, 2007 18:00 | #13 Gerdav, why is it called Tactical ejection? I am curious about the hand on your back handle. Maybe some team movement with you running point or rear?.. At any rate, the photo is extremely good. I think the empty shell with the smoke is exactly at the right place. The rest of the elements within the photo adds to the interest of the image. --Mario

Gerdav, why is it called Tactical ejection? Well, this was a tactical exercise. The four main processes of any semi-auto weapon or pump action shotgun or full auto weapon for that matter is Feed, Fire, Extract, Eject. The focus of this shot is the Shell be ejected during a tactical firing exercise. Hence my name. The II in the title is because there is another post with similar composition. Canon 60D
