Pete, I'm still learning myself so the thing to do is get out there and practice, there is a BSB test at Snetterton this coming Saturday if the weathers ok would be a good opertunity to get some serious action shots of top class bikes and riders, I'll be there with my Nephew Jon so I will be around trying to get pics of him for his web site.

Cheers

I ran your photos through Photoshop real quick and really didn't change much, and the photos pop much more! Just needed some contrast and sharpening. I'd post the final results but I'd need your permission first :)

Great photos and congrats on the new gear! :D I'm guessing it's just *slightly* better than your old P&S. :P

Funny, I did the same a few days ago and didn't post for same reasons. I PS'ed the 1st and last and they did look a lot better.

I'd love to see the new PS'ed versions!Feel free to post.
I was thinking of going to the bsb test but it really does depend on the weather.
Hehe, yeh the difference is pretty insane between my DSLR and the ol' P&S.

Job well done IMO, maybe a little shadow/highlight adjustment in CS2 would have brought back the detail in the shaded areas?

Cheers

Sorry for being late, but here are my edited versions.

I mean it was REAL quick Photoshop, and I think it helped bring out your photos a lot more. Just some brightness/contrast adjustments and a little sharpening.

Cheers!

Snetterton's a great track...as long as it's not cold and windy! Just slightly over exposed but some good panning.

I have only shot bikes a couple of times, but when I shoot with my 400, I typically start around 1/400th and then work my way down as the day goes on. The lower your shutter, the more dramatic the images, but also the lower your keeper ratio.
