From Pembrey circuit, South Wales the annual tarmac stages rally that is the Rali Cwm Gwendraeth.

#1 You can always trust an Escort to cock a wheel under power!

#2 This chap spent more of the day going sideways than forwards

#3 A little fun with the shutter speed on this one. The co-driver of this car had a huge grin on his face all day long. Don't blame him!

#4 A more conventional pan... backgrounds are horrid at Pembrey

All shot with a 1D Mark II and either a 70-200mm f/2.8 or a 120-300mm f/2.8. Many more here http://gallery.ukmotorsportpics.com/c1229792.html (external link) should you wish to see them. Thanks for looking!

Great set of images Glenn, but #2 is very, very good. Perfect stance on the car, the crowd in the background and excellent control of DoF. About as good as it gets in my book :D .

Cheers,

Simon.

Nice shots Glenn - all with a great sense of action.
It looks a little dryer than your last drip to Pembrey! Does this mean we have to stop calling John "Noah"? ;)

Thanks Ryan and Willy.

Andy, I don't think we should let John off yet. I think he owes me a few more dry days at Pembrey and Combe before we can be sure he has shaken the curse!
