Don't know what the difference is between this thread and the "Photographers Rides" thread, so i'm just going to post in both :).

2004 Holden Commodore VYII S Pack Ute (for those of you who are international - locals i'd expect you to already know that :)).

She sure is a beautiful machine - smooth as buggery on cruisy roads and mean as a bastard on the good ones (not even going to mention what she's like in the dirt!). And after all that, I can carry a 3 head monolight system (including stands), my entire setup, a backdrop stand and I can still comfortably sleep both me and my girlfriend in the back with the canopy on.

This is why I love Australian cars!

This is the car I had on holiday in New Zealand last week. A 1999 Nissan Sunny. It was a terrible terrible terrible car. I would guess the engine was a 1.4L with an automatic. The engine or transmission rattled at anything over 90kmh. It sounded like a loose washer flapping about. The brakes were just about useless. It could barely pull it's own weight. The rear seatbelts would have sliced our heads right off in an accident. If the belts locked they had to be wound all the way back in to unlock them, which is not good when they lock tight and you're driving along. It had no central locking but only had a lock on the driver's door. The driver had to get in then unlock all the other doors. It used a tank of fuel for about 300km. The main beam lights were about the same as full beam. The pedals were so high that I kept missing them. I would be at a point where I needed power quickly and my toe would just flick off the end of the pedal. The suspension was spongy and low. It would scrape most speed bumps and feel very uncomfortable around corners. The manufacturer's radio was in but not connected. Instead it had an aftermarket stereo in addition to the stock one.

Ignore the signpost, I wasn't going for arty farty. The round mark is where dad got side swiped by a lorry on the motorway. :D New Zealand drivers are as bad as the cars there.
