Hi Guys and Gals,

I am going to ask what is possibly a dumb question but I feel compelled to ask it nonetheless.

Given that 99% of pictures taken with our beloved cameras need to be cropped to ensure we get exactly what we want when printing (10x8, 7x5 etc) and that these sizes are different to conventional paper sizes (A4, letter etc), what photo paper products do people use to facilitate the standard photo sizes? I'm still fairly new to the digital side of things and currently only have 6x4 tabbed HP paper and A4 Kodak paper which is no good for producing borderless prints of a standard size (7x5, 10x8 etc).

Many thanks in advance and apologies if this is a repeat question. If it is, feel free to flame me as long as you can direct me to the other thread :D

Not sure what that is asking? Seems like you could print on A4 & then put a matte over it if it doesn't match your paper size?

I typically use only two sizes of paper, 4x6 and 8.5x11. The 4x6 gets...duh 4x6 prints and occasionally maybe a couple 2x3s. The 8.5x11 gets all the rest, 2-5x7, 8x10, or any custom page layout. I have some waste but this seems to work fairly well and I don't have to keep a lot of paper sizes around. Oh if I need bigger I print elsewhere.:)

At home, I would get 8.5x11 and a roller cutter. That way you can make any size you want up to 8x10 standard, or 8.5x11 if you want to go with an odd photo size.

Professional labs use 4in 5in 8in 10in 12in 24in and 36in rolls of photo paper, that are normally 275ft long (coming from Fuji). Inkjet papers get larger than that, and there's too many sizes to list.

Ditto here. Couldn't have stated it any simpler myself.
