I'm not sure about this one. It's obviously a well shot capture but I fancy there's just a bit too much motion blur to make it work. Just my opinion. :)

Nice effect. I might have to try that 1/60 second speed some time. Makes them look like hummingbird wings. :)

Wood ducks do hold the world speed record for ducks! And it would be difficult to get a picture that is not blurred when they are taking off -- they can come straight off the water and go into an immediate steep climb.

I love to see a flock when they come in to make a landing -- they drop out of the sky in a steep high-speed spiral with their wings cupped and make the duck equivalent of a carrier landing.

And ... they taste good too!
