I had a shoot today for the magazine, we are doing a story on wedding planning so I asked Jenny to come pose for some shots with the wedding planner. We actually did two shoots today, with with a custom dress maker and one with a wedding planner. Both are featured in our magazine next month.

It was short notice so I asked Jenny if she would come pose in some of the shots. We were rained out of one location so we moved to a favorite church of mine. You may recall the church from the bike/priest shoot on here.

Since the shoot was later Jenny's fiancé was able to join in. We didn't plan on an engagement shoot but it somewhat ended up that way.

Here are a few that I liked.

I will be shooting the wedding in September.

I like what you did with #2...I normally don't like that kind of thing, but it really works for me. I also LOVE the lighting in #3. Was that all natural light or a little bit of fill flash in there? Can't wait to see the wedding pics!

Ryan,

Thanks!

It was all natural light. I had left all but my 550EX at home not thinking we'd be doing anything other than a couple of shots for the article. I wish I had had my 580EX, Pocket Wizards and umbrella's but nope. I did have to adjust the lights in the church and get them to position themselves just right so the available light would work.

EXIF is in the images but I did use a tripod and very slow shutter speeds along with an ISO of at 1000.

These shots are fabulous. I love the pose of the couple in the pew. Very tender. Just a quick point, I think the date is incorrect if they are going to be married this September (2007). :)

They look a little bit sombre, to me.

Shouldn't they be excited?

Actually they are in a "tender"/spiritual moment. They both are very strong in their faith so I wanted to capture something that helped them share the love they have for each other and the reverence they have to God. Trust me we will get many more that are happy with this couple.
