Spring has sprung (at least here in IL)

These are the first flowers of spring and this is my first post! Got a Rebel XT for Xmas but haven't had much time to take photos. Here is my first effort.

I can only dream of things like that right now where I am at =) Good lighting in the shot. The only thing that is bothering me is the pot in the upper right corner is distracting. Could you change the angle just a little so all you see is the pavement behind the flowers? Just my 2 cents.
