Hello everyone

Here's few photos from last few days of Junior Nordic skiing World Championships in Tarvisio, Italy.

IMAGE: http://www.photo.si/img/sport/s_xcskiing_20070315nw_0521.jpg

Third placed Nobu Naruse of Japan skiing in Men 15km freestyle race of Under23 Nordic skiing World Championships in Tarvisio, Italy

Marcus Hellner of Sweden skiing in Men 15km freestyle race of Under23 Nordic skiing World Championships in Tarvisio, Italy.

IMAGE: http://www.photo.si/img/sport/s_xcskiing_20070315nwm_0388.jpg

Satu Pirttiniemi of Finland skiing in Women 10km freestyle race of Under23 Nordic skiing World Championships in Tarvisio, Italy.

IMAGE: http://www.photo.si/img/sport/s_xcskiing_20070313nw_0610.jpg

Winner Robin Bryntesson of Sweden skiing in quarter finals of Men Under23 Sprint race of Junior Nordic skiing World Championships in Tarvisio, Italy.

IMAGE: http://www.photo.si/img/sport/s_xcskiing_20070313nw_0689.jpg

Winner Robin Bryntesson of Sweden (R) and his teammate, second placed Marcus Hellner (L) are sprinting for victory, while Matias Strandvall of Finland (M) secured his third placed already before finish line.

And as you can see, conditions for working are really hard, and we are really suffering on those skiing tracks  Now if it would only be like this every single time I shoot skiing, this would really be dream job.

PS: Sorry for watermarks, but photos are from our online archive.

Have fun, and I'm back to xc skiing and enjoying on sun and snow for next 3 days :p

Trying to cool your hot glass on that last image?

Nice shots. Loved the angle on the fourth shot.

17-40/4. Here I use just 3 lenses on 2 bodies (1dmk2)... 17-40/4, 70-200/2.8 and 300/2.8 (without monopod  ). I don't feel like dragging more stuff around those tracks :)

White balance is a bit off and personally I don't like shooting from higher perspective. I usually pick few meters from top of hill down the track, so they are coming over the hill. Or if there's no such chance I go down. For me it feels nicer to shoot straight or even a bit up and not down on skier. But that's just my personal preference :)

These are excellent! I've seen you post skiing before and you do such a great job with snow and your exposures. Great color and interesting compositions.
