Which ultra wide for sports, landscapes, etc. ?

I shoot stuff like mountain biking, motocross, snowboarding, etc. as well as landscapes and cityscapes. I really like the Tokina because you can zoom it, and change the amount of distortion. I like the amount of distortion at 10mm (not like a peleng). My friend thinks I would be better off with a 10-20/22 (which has barely any distortion) because I would use it more.

I also heard that the construction of the 10-20 is much better than the 10-17.
Should I just get a 10-20, and maybe later get the 10-17?

Can some people please post pictures or links to pictures of sports photos taken with the 10-20?
