computer down loads issue

Hi Folks

I am over the moon with the camera time now downloading stuff is tremendously fast thanks to having it on the right setting. Anyway i remember once the computer asking me when down loaded if I wanted to delete the pictures on the CF card now it doesn't what have i done wrong?

As long as you've got the camera to pc thing figured out, I wouldn't worry about the format issue. It is generally considered better to format the card via the camera anyway.

My preference is to not delete the files off the card until I'm sure (having manually inspected them on the computer) that all my files have transferred correctly and that I've got at least 3 copies on one disk/disc or another.

I am still struggling with the putting things to disc issue I really am new to computers and not quite there regards saving things to disc.

I will delete using the camera then it was just the one time when the computer asked me if I wanted to delete from camera hasn't asked me since so I will go with your expert advice Cheers JB.
