For those that may have attended his seminars, read any of his books or just been aware of this master of wedding and portrait photography, Monte has passed away.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

I was lucky enough to have attended a Zucker seminar last fall. He was there with Eddie Tapp and they made a fantastic team. He was a very geniune man, and a passionate portraitist. His style was simple... but unique. Some called it old fashion, I call it timeless. I feel blessed to have learned how to re-create the Zucker portrait, and I will do my best to honor this great man with it.

That night Monte announced that he had just been diagnosed with cancer and only had months to live. It was a very emotional event, and I for one left feeling that I had just experienced something very special. God Bless Monte Zucker.

I also attended a Monte Zucker / Eddie Tapp seminar in Atlanta, last fall. It was very informative and well done. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

While I was aware of the severity of his cancer, like so many I prayed for a miracle. I am very saddened to hear the news. I had the great pleasure to know Monte and what a loving and caring man he was. The photo industry and humanity as a whole has lost a true leader. His memory though will never die and his legacy will live on through his thousands of students and the incredible images that they create through his inspiration.

God speed Monte.

Rick

I remember hearing about his cancer, and that he only had months to life...yet he contined to hold classes. That tells you a little about who he really was.

I hope he passed with little suffering.

Sorry to hear of someone passing. I am not acquainted with Monte but I would agree with Stuart that the spam should be deleted.

Yeah - A tip of the hat to the mod - was one of the strangest posts I've seen in a while . "Stealth Spam" taking advantage of an obit.
