Lots of ways to do a B/W conversion. Adobe LR and CS3 offer a very nice 'expanded' channel mixer for raw...

Here's how I do it in PS CS2 (external link).

Fantastic shots, I've seen the photo of Sting in a magazine somewhere I think?

i just realized that most bands i see have the vocalist also playing some sort of instrument...it's a rarity to have them solely singing.

These are recent pics of Mark Schultz:

I cropped this a bit as I had Mark too far foward in the original, but now it might be a bit too centered. I still like it. ;)

Show off, Dwight. ;) JK, love the pics. Great as always.

Actually most of these pics are amazing. Nice work everyone. :)

I noticed my pic of Mac could be sharper. But I think it's pretty much just out of camera. I think I'm just now getting the hang of adjusting some of the settings down.

Oh, man, don't start adjusting things ... it is a slippery slope to the dark side!

it was a stage prop; he took 'em out of his nose as the show progressed. i didn't realize who he was until after the show (i was there for the Melvins), but he was pretty entertaining. i did have the good fortune to see the Sugarcubes play once (about 18 years ago!), but didn't have a camera.
