First year I've gotten to go to Sebring. It was a lot of fun. Here's a couple of shots from the race. C&C welcome. Thanks!

Superb!

Love the way you have captured the essence of speed by panning..

Nick :-)

Thanks. It was more difficult here than other tracks, because you are much closer to the track.

I was at Sebring this weekend too, it was quite fun aside from the rain!

Nice pics, I've still been looking through all of mine. The pics at that track are tough since you are so close and there were so many fences and such in the way.

My 2nd year in a row there, I love Sebring!

Thanks. This was my first time to sebring, but I've gone to the Petit Le Mans the past 5 years. I got there friday and got SOAKED. My shoes and clothes were soaked for the rest of the day. It poured. So instead of camping I stayed with a friend who works for ALMS and who also got me my free VIP pass. But yeah it was a lot of fun.:D

What a zoo that place is. I may go again, but I will go better prepared for the cultural event that it is. Photographically it has to be one of the worst tracks to shoot in my opinion. I generally don't like panning shots, but there is nothing else to do there unless you love campers as a background. Sorry if I sound a little sour, but for a track that has been around for so many years, I was shocked how poor the facilities were. I guess my expectations were set a little higher then they should have been. Sorry for the rant... I just expected more.

As to the shots. These are about as good as your can reasonable expect. The only tweak I would work on is to straighten out some of the shots. You've got a couple going down hill where there are no hills. It's an easy fix. Other then that, these look swell. Cheers.

There are slight downward slopes though.

I really like #4... great stuff! Very nice job with the panning... Sebring is an ugly track, but the panning turns it into an interesting background. Well done.

Kramer,

Well done in regards to the pan shots. There are many places to shoot at SIR with or without credentials.

GT2 #45 is a very good image.

There may be... but that is not the issue here. Your camera was crooked on these shots. The easiest way to tell is look by looking for something you know will be verticle regardless, such as tree and fence post. Even on hills these are verticle. Looking at your shot of 26, both the trees and post for the link fencing are leaning to the right. In some of the other shots, like the Aston shot, buildings are not built on an angle like that. It seems like a small thing, but once you true your images you will be surprised how much more natural they feel. The human eye is trained to look for a horizon or something verticle to orient itself too. When it can't find something, it causes confusion which detracts from the image. Even stylized images that are displayed at extremem angles, you will find a line in there that the eye wants to anchore to.

A very nice series. Looks like you were able to get very close to the action.
