I'm going to sell it. My 15 year old Sigma 70-300 f/4.5 gives sharper images than the Tamron. I bought a Canon 28-135 IS for travelling instead.

I love it, but I don't have any other lenses to compare it to except the one that came with my rebel. Maybe I'd hate it if I had something else to compare it to. 300mm kicks a**. I agree with the other poster that the shots are not that sharp when I zoom in, but I've yet to use it on a tripod, so that might not be a fair observation. The thing I like best about it is that it is small. It doesn't look like a lens that can extend to 300mm. You'll still need another lens, because the chip ratio 1.6:1 makes the 28mm a little too zoomy for stuff like party snapshots.
