Hello everyone, I've seen a bunch of add-on lenses for the Canon A85 on ebay and was just wondering if they're worth it.

I really like my camera, but would love a telephoto or macro lens. I'm just trying to find out if they're worth it. Does image quality suffer, or anything like that?

I've also only been able to find them on ebay. Does anyone know of any online stores that sell them? I'm always kind of weary about ebay.

Try www.lensmateonline.com (external link) and www.bugeyedigital.com (external link)

I've used lensmateonline.com and so have tons of people with excellent results. They have galleries of different types of add-on lenses as well.

Good luck.

the lenses are fun, ive got a wide angle, macro and a tel for my a95. However I found I didnt use the telephoto that much. If your doing just for more zoom I would suggest saving the money and moving towards a S2 or S3 or another camera with additional optical zoom.

If you want the macro or wide angles you could look at the sites mishnogram suggested

SX 10 IS, Canon S2IS, & Canon a95 with tiffen 2x, tiffen .56X wide angle & +17 macro lenses
