... with a large Harley Davidson toy model.
That is what I have been asked to do.
I have been lurking around here for awhile, soaking up lots of knowledge. But have never posted pics. (silly 56K)
I am taking pics of a 3 month old baby boy this weekend. The grandma asked if I could use her large scale model of her Harley in a pose. I of course say, ok. I am just starting out and will try anything. Now as time nears I have no idea what to do with a baby and a Harley. I have searched near and far for ideas. Any help/ideas on posing would be greatly appreciated!!

BTW, This board is great. There are some great photographers on here. I feel I have learned so much.
Thanks SO much!
Jana:)

Of course the grandma is thinking that she wants to see the 3 month old on top of the bike I suspect. So would it be possible to have an arm in the photo to hold the baby that could be retouched out? For instance, lets say you're shooting the Harley on a backdrop with the baby. Have grandma hold the baby in place, take the shot mounted on a tripod. After you're done shooting, take shots of the bike and backdrop in place (plates) and recompose the shot in post removing any traces of grandma. Because you're on a tripod, the empty photos should line up pretty darn close to the shots with the model in it.

I would agree with the above suggestion (by above I mean wc14, not that the duct tape doesnt have merit also) and add maybe "drape" Grandma in a fabric of the same color as the background to make removing her a little easier and as a backup plan maybe drape the baby carrier/carseat or a beanbag if you have one and set up Jr. just in front of the bike in a pleasing manner - just in case plan A doesn't quite work out Grandma still gets Jr. and the bike...

I hope she has some little biker duds for him... please share the picture when it is done... sounds like a fun idea :)

Good Luck! :)

First off, you need to dress him up right... I'm thinking red bandana, sun glasses and a leather jacket and leather pants. Get pics of him sitting on the bike like hes riding it. Then get some pics of him kinda leaning up on it. Then give him a clean rag and have him act like hes waxing it. I see a biker stud in the makings here.

Almost forgot... need a jukebox and a picture with him hitting it and label that picture "eehhhhhhhhhh"
