I was thinking that I had lost my mind. I have more $$$ tied up in photography equipment than any one thing I own, other than auto and home. ?! It all fits on one nice bag that someone can help themselves to with little effort, (assuming they can carry a (L) lens :D ) I checked my home owners policy and found it was not covered!!! I needed a extra rider. Well for $1.60 per $100 for a year coverage I thought I better!. It is covered when I take it in the car or away. (As long as I am not a photography professional) (That cost Extra)! I was supprised to discover it was also covered should I drop it!!!!!!! wow... Its covered now! :D

You mean people really do drop their equipment?  (The trip to Canon Service has been postponed until next week now---the 100-400 remains 'busted'.)

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I am currently "in the process".... you'd be amazed how difficult it can be when you can't get home owners/apartment insurance (long story)

So I am getting dedicated equipment insurance (better.. but more costly) but to do that.. in most every case you need to be a member of some organization it seems...

So,. right now I am in limbo waiting for a membership to become official.. I will be travelling in a matter of weeks and am praying that things will be done in time.
