Has anyone tried the gorillapod for their SLR? I see they even have one for SLR + heavy zoom see http://www.joby.com/gp​3.html (external link)

Usual things going through my mind about when I dont have the tripod, will it be better than handheld or balancing on a wall/car etc.

Try searching. Thee have been a few threads fairly recently....

It seems the search link only stays active for a while and then expires. Just do a forum search for "gorillapod" and another for "gorilla pod".

thanks tdodd, I had searched before posting but in the wrong forum. When a mod moved the post to here I realised that and there are quite a few threads when I search here.
