FYI. . .

I had ordered some months ago, and it finally came today.

Not cheap - $14.41 for 100g

The part number is CY9-8078-001. The phone number to order in the US is 1-732-521-7230.

How good it is? I mean can you tell if the touchup paint has been used on a lens?

Sorry, can't answer that yet since it literally arrived this evening. I can report back this weekend. From the can it came in I would say that they just re-purposed some of the production paint from the lens paint line.

Nice~ thanks for sharing the info.
I am sure it will come in handy someday :)

Oh btw.. I wonder if they have one for the black color.

I just touched up a couple of chipped places. The color is an exact match. I doubt if someone just looking at the lens would see where I had retouched it, but then the chips were small. Close inspection shows that my paint job isn't as smooth as the factories.

I should have taken before and after shots. . .

I'm considering buying some and painting my nifty and putting a red vinyl pinstripe on it.

That would just be hardcore.

It's not cheap, but I'd imagine 100g will last you a while.

That would just be a waste of paint lol. Spending 1-2 bottles of paint ($30) on a $75 lens lol.

It's a decent volume of paint, comes in what looks like a tall can of tuna. ~$20 after shipping. I ordered a can back in October(!), came a couple weeks ago. Too bad the 99 cent bottle of beige acrylic from the crafts store already did a decent job!

Considering there was a guy on FM selling out portions of the stuff for $10 a crack (IIRC it was a 1/10 portion), $15 seems pretty cheap.
