Its been a couple of months since we've heard from Peter, so I thought I would post a shot taken with one of his approved 'birding lenses'....the 10-22 :D Please accept my appologies for the blown highlights, clipped foot, OOF eye and unlevel horizon, but it took a long time to get this close, the lens hood being no more than 12" from the bird! (uncropped image taken @22mm)

Nice "classic Petkal!"

You haven't seen him out and about?

Rumor has it that the Tree Sharks have taken him hostage and are willing to pay for us to take him back.

;)

My guess is that they have taken him to Florida and will release him in the spring :D

He he, I missed that one, Scott.
By golly, it must have taken some doing to get that close to the gull.
Excellent background too.
